The verification cycle

Awards

NQVS can NOT be used by students to verify or modify their award records. For each student record held, NQVS issues a corresponding Unique Identification Code (UIC) to every student/graduate.

Institutions

To protect the integrity of the system, NQVS collaborates with Nigeria institutions of higher learning to process the academic award of each graduating student.

Students

Students must enrol on NQVS portal and pay a onetime minimal fee. Students are then issued a UIC number for award verification by third parties.

Verifiers

Verifiers must obtain a UIC number from each candidate before the candidate’s award can be verified on the NQVS system.
